So yeah, I don’t think I did outstandingly well on the math final, but judging from everyone else’s reaction, I don’t think many people did too hot either.
If it turns out that everyone else was faking and pretending to have done badly on the exam and that I get a substandard grade in the class, I shall lament not over the fact that I am not too skilled in calculus classes but...

Everyone seems to me studying their butts off.
I hear “I’ve been studying the whole day” and “I’m so stressed out” (final week starts in… two days) all the time in the elevator.
But seriously, I didn’t know people studied for days (or even weeks!!) ahead of tests!

When my mom was dying of cancer, my dad had to keep working to keep his health insurance. His midsize company has a program by which employees can transfer paid time off to one another. Today, my grandmother died. I took a walk to try and calm down but ended up sitting on a park bench crying. Someone tapped me on the shoulder and a man handed me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He said, “I walked past here earlier and you were crying, so I got you these flowers”, and walked away. Kind strangers like him GMH.
Prospective client: $400 for a logo?! Why are you so expensive? My nephew has Photoshop—I can just get him to do it.
Me: Does your nephew have Microsoft Word?
